A Call to Action
The work of Democrats is cut out for us. That has been clear since Jan. 20, 2025 when Donald Trump was inaugurated President. To stay focused during these challenging times, the Club has formulated three guidelines.

-- Resilience
Resilience is essential for our organization to withstand, adopt, and rise up in the face of adverse events and challenges to our democracy. To build resilience, we need to engage with all community members and like-minded organizations to identify and address the important challenges in our community.
-- Resistance

Resistance is required to fight against policies that threaten our democratic way of life and our democratic institutions. From our Democratic elected officials to ordinary citizens, we will need to fight to transform our fear of authoritarian-leaning policies into collective strength to stop such policies and provide democratic alternatives to the challenges facing our country. A proactive approach is necessary.

-- Solidarity

Solidarity involves working together with other community organizations to build up our collective strength and support the most vulnerable groups in our community.
The efforts of all Club members are needed in the journey to strengthen our organization and work together for a sustainable democratic future for ourselves, our children and grandchildren. As President John F. Kennedy said in 1961 at his inauguration, “ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country.”
